The Bender Jewish Community Center is honoring healthcare heroes from four Montgomery hospitals Wednesday night at a fundraising event for its scholarship program.
“Throughout the pandemic, healthcare workers have faced unprecedented challenges. Despite these challenges, they have been the leaders, guides and caregivers of our community,” JCC staff said in a press release.
IMAGINE starts at 7 p.m. and will be outside in a tent at JCC, 6125 Montrose Road, Rockville.
Doreen Gentzler, anchor and medical reporter at NBC4, will present the Benjamin Ourisman Memorial Award for Civic Achievement to two healthcare workers from Adventist Healthcare, Holy Cross, Medstar Health and Suburban hospitals.
Money raised will be used for scholarships for preschool, camp and after-school programs, JCC Maccabi games and fitness memberships.
