The Niagara Branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association is hosting a virtual wellness fundraiser.
Hosted by Nova Nicole, the 11th Annual Women and Wellness event will take place on Tuesday, February 22.
Nicole is a Workplace Mental Health Counselor and Leadership Development Facilitator at Shopify, and has been featured on CTV’s “The Social.” She has also been featured in The Globe and Mail, Chatelaine, CBC and CTV.
His presentation will offer a passionate and compelling approach to mental health awareness and resilience and recovery tools for personal life management, a press release said.
“We hope this free event will not only provide information and strategies on assertiveness, advocacy and personal leadership, but will inspire and motivate our community to understand and support the services that CMHA Niagara offers. In addition to being a fundraiser for CMHA, the Women in Wellness event raised over $300,000 for services that support the people of Niagara.
“Demand for mental health services such as same-day crisis support and counselling, Crisis Outreach and Support Team (COAST) and Safe Beds has increased dramatically,” McKendrick said. “Support is needed now, more than ever, to ensure we are financially able to continue to provide same-day access to mental health services. »
