An Essex woman organized a community event in Colchester to raise money for a local mental health charity.
Susie Valerie hosts an afternoon of spiritual healing initiation sessions, readings and an opportunity to browse locally handcrafted items.
The ‘Let’s get Spiritual’ event will raise funds for Mid and North East Essex Mind.
The fundraiser will take place on Saturday 29th January from 2pm at the Oak Tree Centre, Harwich Road, Colchester.
Susie said: “I really wanted to help Mid and North East Essex Mind because it’s such a great charity.
“Mental health has been something that has been very close to my heart for eight years, so I recognize the impact it would have, without the charity available.”
Visitors can browse the stalls with various handmade items including jewelry, decoupage, crystals and melted waxes.
Readings and care initiation sessions will also be available.
There will be a chance to enter a raffle, with the top prize worth £100.
Stephanie Mills, Marketing and Fundraising Manager for Mid and North East Essex Mind, said: “The past few months have been very difficult for everyone as not all of us have been able to come together and take advantage of local community events.
“We are thrilled to be supported by Susie and her friends and to see community events returning.”
Mid and North East Essex Mind provide community mental health services to children, young people and adults in the area.
These include counselling, peer support, practical support as well as crisis care for adults and a dedicated service for young people.
