KOTA: In an operation to control the sale of illegal guns and sharp weapons to curb the rise in stabbing cases in the city, Kota police on Tuesday arrested a 30-year-old man at a shopping store. makeshift knives on the roadside in front of the Gurudwara on Kota –Jaipur to Badgaun Highway under Kunhari Police Station. Police recovered a peasant-made pistol and 10 long, sharp, piercing knives.
The accused, identified as Kabal Singh (30), a resident of Badgaun under the Kunhari police station, has been selling them under cover for about two years, Bhagwat Singh Hingad told media, DSP and CO Nayapura on Tuesday.

Previously, another defendant identified as Kuldeep Meena from the Sangod area of ​​the district was arrested with a sharp knife by the Nayapura police station, he said, adding that Meena, during the initial interrogation, was arrested with a sharp knife. revealed that he had bought the knife from a store in front of the Gurudwara.
Thereupon, a special team led by SHO, Kunhari Ganga Sahay Sharma Police Station conducted the operation in the makeshift roadside shop, where the accused first attempted to escape with a bag. containing 10 sharp knives, but the cops quickly overpowered it, DSP told Hingad.
Notably, at the beginning of January of this year, on the revelation of the purchase of sharp weapons in the stores of Pushkar in Ajmer by the accused, the police of Kunhari in coordination with the local police, carried out raids and arrested six people while recovering a large number of sharp weapons of all kinds being sold under the guise of decorative items.
