The Dwarka Police Anti-Narcotics Cell arrested Aman and recovered 10.7 grams of cocaine from him. Based on his information, they managed to catch Babashola, a Nigerian, who was the kingpin of the cartel, as he attempted to flee India on a fake passport.

A team of police officers from the Anti-Narcotics Cell in Delhi’s Dwarka district have arrested a Nigerian national involved in drug supply and an event organiser. Officers recovered 10.7 grams of good quality cocaine and two passports.
The arrest was made on the basis of confidential information about a person named Aman, who was involved in drug trafficking. According to reports, the team reached Jeevan Park in Uttam Nagar and set a trap to catch the accused.
Upon seeing the police team, the suspect attempted to flee the scene, but the team managed to apprehend him. During his interrogation, he identified himself as Aman Singh, 28. Upon searching him, authorities found a polythene bag containing 10.7 grams of cocaine.
NIGERIA’S DRUG CHIEF ARRESTED
The defendant revealed that he used to organize parties and events and had accumulated huge debts in the business. He then contacted the caïd Babashola and his friend, both of Nigerian nationality, to obtain financial assistance.
Babashola had told him to bring a shipment of cocaine from Dubai to India and that he would give him a certain amount of money to complete the task. Aman agreed and brought back 2.5 kg of cocaine from Dubai in June 2022.
Both defendants had gone into hiding after that and Babashola fled to Bangalore.
Searches were carried out at Babashola’s address, where copies of his two passports were found. The team regularly tracked Babashola’s movements and discovered that he was planning to flee India on a fake passport.
Eventually he was found and detained at Mumbai airport and the original and fake passport were recovered in his possession.
Babashola revealed that he came to India in 2008 on a tourist visa and joined cheating rackets. He was arrested by Vasant Vihar police in a cheating case and was convicted.
