Event Marketing Association appoints new CEO

The EMA has announced that it has appointed Priya Narain as its chief executive.

Richard Waddington, EMA President says: “Covid-19 has had a catastrophic impact on the events industry and continues to do so. The EMA, other industry associations and our members have not been spared. However, we are now taking At this turning point, we have an online events program for our members and are working on some key initiatives, such as sustainability, return to live, diversity and inclusivity in the industry.

Narain has over six years of experience in the event industry and is one of the co-founders of Event First Steps, an industry initiative that encourages newcomers to the event industry to forge their own career path. Narain will be responsible for continuing to drive the main objectives of the association; content-driven educational events, fueling ongoing engagement with members and giving a voice to the industry on behalf of “in-house” event professionals.
