Iredell County Crosby Scholars will host the Blue Jeans, Beats and Bling Fundraiser on September 10 at the Crawford Farm, a fundraising event for Last Dollar Grants to benefit Iredell County Scholars.

Attendees can sample dishes from chef The Tailgate, including barbecue sliders, mini chicken tacos and mac and cheese. Red Buffalo Brewing will be there with the fire truck to provide favorite craft beers and other beverages. DJ Kevin Abbott will be playing a variety of favorite songs to make sure everyone feels the beat. Enjoy music, food and games as well as sweepstakes to win awesome bling. Each $75 ticket includes food, entertainment and a free drink ticket.

“This event supports the mission of Crosby Scholars: to provide college opportunities for every student,” said Suzanne Wegmiller, executive director of Iredell County Crosby Scholars. “Join us at Blue Jeans, Beats and Bling for a fun night that gives back to our community.”

Proceeds from Blue Jeans, Beats and Bling will help fund the latest grants and scholarships for Iredell County Crosby Scholar graduates. In April, Crosby Scholars of Iredell County awarded scholarships to program graduates worth nearly $100,000. In July, the Crosby Scholars of Iredell County provided additional grant checks of $40,000 to graduates of the college program to help students with financial needs with their tuition and fees.
