A NORTH EAST-based property, construction and manufacturing company has raised nearly £17.5,000 for the Percy Hedley Foundation at a charity golf event at Wynyard.
Ten teams made up of business leaders from across the region took to the luxury golf course as part of the Hellens Group’s year-long fundraising project to raise £50,000 to celebrate its 50th anniversary.
So far, Hellens Group has raised £23,387 so far to meet the target.
Founded in 1973 by John Hellens, Hellens Group has grown significantly over the years, in markets such as social housing, land and property development, including urban regeneration, as well as the production of landscaping materials hard at its Oakdale factory in Catterick.
The Hellens Group team will engage in a number of fundraising activities over the 12 months leading up to March 2023 to raise critical funds for the Percy Hedley Foundation, which helps over 650 people with complex needs each year. to reach their full potential. , live the life they want and be happy by providing them with high quality care, education and lifelong learning opportunities.
The charity relies on money from donations and fundraising events to provide services and new experiences, improve facilities and upgrade equipment.

“We are already off to a fantastic start towards our ambitious goal of £50,000 and look forward to hosting our next fundraising event soon.”
