Kallo.ng, Hausa Film Platform Bags Marketing World Awards

Kallo.ng, a first indigenous Hausa streaming platform in Nigeria, has won an international award, just eight months after its launch.

The platform won the award, titled; Best New Streaming Innovation, presented and organized by Marketing World Awards, MWA, at its 11th annual ceremony, held in Accra, Ghana on July 15th.

MWA is an ISO certified media and events company.

Speaking on the development, kallo.ng Founder and Managing Director, Hajiya Maijidda Moddibo, said she was delighted with what she described as a huge win.

Moddibo, in a statement on Saturday, said the award was won through hard work and innovation to bring the platform up to the international standard.

According to her, kallo.ng had already gone far in using modern technological innovations to make the platform efficient and attractive, aiming to satisfy the demands of Hausa moviegoers.

She revealed that in just eight months, kallo.ng had already garnered over 35,000 subscribers, adding that the number would soon increase as people increasingly adopted the streaming platform.

“This award was a reward for our hard work and our struggle to satisfy our customers. The organization that gave us the award is an internationally renowned organization.

“The award, won after just six months of launching this platform, would not make us complacent, rather we will be eager to do more to satisfy our subscribers as well as meet the international standard,”

Moddibo also told Hausa subscribers and moviegoers to expect more innovation and development, aimed at ensuring the platform meets the international standard.
