Return of a vintage charity event at Cressing Temple Barns

A CHARITY event is planned to celebrate all things vintage when it returns this summer.

Buyers and enthusiasts of classic vehicles are invited by the Helen Rollason Cancer Charity to step back in time and dress to impress at the annual Vintage Day Out.

The event will take place at Cressing Temple Barns, near Braintree, on Sunday July 10, and aims to raise valuable funds for the cancer charity.

There will be shows, classic vehicles, food, music, jive dancing and shopping.

Stalls include vintage fashion, retro thrift, beauty salons, kitchenware, fashion, jewelry, furniture, antiques, and collectibles.

Food and drink will be available, including roast pork, cocktails and Prosecco from The Tipsy Grey, ice cream from Molly Moos Ices and afternoon teas from Lavender Blue Vintage Teas.

Charity spokeswoman Karen Mitchell said: “We look forward to welcoming all of our guests to the beautiful grounds of Cressing Temple Barns for a vintage extravaganza.

“Sustainable shopping and its environmental impact is currently a hot topic, so we are delighted to do our part by endorsing this practice.

“A Vintage Day Out is an affordable and eco-friendly way to acquire unique and new items while supporting a good cause.

“Furthermore, shopping at Helen Rollason Cancer Charity’s Vintage Day Out outlet has a direct impact on the life-saving care and support provided to people with cancer and their loved ones.” It’s a double win.

“We are a local charity serving our local community, and every penny raised at this event will go towards ensuring that we continue to provide the best possible cancer care now and in the future. »
