FARGO – StartupBrew Fargo will be held in a new location when the weekly entrepreneurial event resumes on Wednesday, May 18.
Drekker Brewing Company will now host the event, which has been held at Fargo Brewing Company since last fall.
Mark Bjornstad, co-founder and president of Drekker Brewing Company, told the Forum on Thursday May 12 that he was delighted with the collaboration.
“We were really excited when they approached us with the idea and the long-term possibilities of the partnership. It fits so well with what we believe in about building community and creating space for the whole community. We’re just really excited to collaborate with them on their goals and initiatives and how we can facilitate that at Drekker and Brewhalla,” Bjornstad said.
Between Drekker and his addition to Brewhalla, Bjornstad said they can accommodate groups large and small.
“We have so many different space options that we can put them – indoors, outdoors, an open space or a private place. We really try to shape a space for an event so that we can control the energy and make it appropriate,” he said. .
Additionally, Bjornstad said that once the event moves to Brewhalla, attendees will have the option to “extend their meeting place”.
“The event ends just as Brewhalla Market opens. Everyone can hang out and mingle, start early lunches, have meetings, sort of co-working in the space the rest of the day or afternoon. … That is, I think the point of StartupBrew is to bring people together to discuss, collaborate and network.”
Construction of the Brewhalla addition is expected to be complete this fall. Drekker recently announced a number of businesses opening in the Brewhalla Market, including Nichole’s Fine Pastry & Cafe, Blackbird Woodfire Pizza, Thunder Coffee, Luna Market, Mangata Wine and Raw Bar and Duchessa Gelato.
Jim Manney, producer of the film “Tankhouse” and Miss North Dakota 2021 Reyna Bergstrom are expected to speak at Wednesday’s event.
