Even couples planning a micro-wedding or mini-money are looking for ways to make their small, socially distanced celebration even safer. A local company hopes to have the perfect solutions.
Perfect settings, one of the region’s leading special event companies, has seen a drastic drop in business due to Covid-19. “I am at 3% [of normal] revenue,” said founder Peter Grazzini. Still, Grazzini, who has worked in the events industry for over 30 years, is optimistic: “I believe [the industry] will return to 100 percent. The trick for now is to find ways to survive while providing weddings and other celebrations that adhere to CDC guidelines and keep everyone safe. This led Grazzini to research how to provide pandemic-safe services to couples. Here’s a look at some new sanitation offerings from Perfect Settings.

Decontamination lights
Typically used in hospitals and ambulances, these chemical-free, portable UVC lamps are a way to kill viruses and decontaminate surfaces such as table tops, seats, bars and food stations. Perfect Settings says it cleans and sanitizes all rental equipment before it leaves the warehouse and then once it’s set up before an event.
Hand sanitizer and hand washing stations
Portable hand washing and sanitizing stations can also be rented and installed not only at the entrance, but also throughout the venue
Plexiglass shields
Plexiglas screens, also known as cough and sneeze guards, can be hired to protect catering stations. Shields are available in six-foot and eight-foot sizes to fit everything from buffet stations to bars.
Additional security measures
Along with the new sanitation equipment and technology, Perfect Settings staff will also undergo temperature screening and receive personal protective equipment so they also stay safe throughout an event.
