Wednesday: Netflix reveals 10 characters for Tim Burton’s Addams family spin-off

Netflix announced that Tim Burton was creating an Addams family live spinoff show for the subscription service in February and now the cast has grown by 10.

The spin-off, titled Wednesday, will focus on Wednesday Addams, but the main character has yet to be chosen. Luis Guzmán was chosen as Gomez Addams earlier this month and Catherine Zeta-Jones has been cast for the role of Morticia Addams a few days later, and now, 10 more characters have been added to the series.

  • Hunter Doohan (Your Honor, actually) was cast to play Tyler Galpin, the son of the city’s local sheriff who befriended Wednesday.

  • Georgie Farmer (Treadstone, The Chronicles of Evermoor) was chosen to play Ajax Petropolus, a Gorgon student attending Nevermore Academy who is awkward, shy, and anxious.

  • Moosa Mostafa (Nativity Rocks !, The Last Bus) was chosen to play Eugen Otinger, an eccentric student at Nevermore Academy who is president of the school’s beekeeping club.

  • Emma Myers (Girl in the basement, Taste of Christmas) was cast as Enid Sinclair, Wednesday’s sunny California roommate who comes from a pack of San Francisco-based werewolves

  • Naomi J. Ogawa (Skylin3s) was chosen to play Yoko Tanaka, a Gothic-flair vampire inspired by Harajuku and one of the cool kids of Nevermore Academy.

  • Sunday of joy (Dear Whites, The beta test) was chosen to play Bianca Barclay, one of Nevermore Academy’s most popular students from a long line of mermaids.

  • Percy Hynes White (Gifted and fairly hard cases) was chosen to play Xavier Thorpe, a charismatic and supernaturally artistic student of Nevermore Academy whose father is a famous medium.

  • Thora Birch (Ghost World, The Walking Dead) was chosen to play Tamara Novak, the mother of Wednesday’s dorm and the only “Normie” staff member at Nevermore Academy.

  • Riki Lindhome (At loggerheads, another period) has been chosen to play Dr. Valerie Kinbott, Wednesday’s new therapist.

  • Jamie McShane (Mank, Lineage) was chosen to play Sheriff Donovan Galpin, an officer who challenges Nevermore Academy and especially one of its former students, Gomez Addams.

These 10 characters will join the already present actors of Gomez and Morticia, and possibly Wednesday, in the spin-off of the Addams family.
